Amarillo los plátanos....! | Yellow bananas....! [ESP-ENG]

Colors accompany us, surround us and depending on taste, one in particular prevails without underestimating the others. Colors entertain children, paint dreams and represent hearts, that is, they identify emotions and feelings; as they are also found in the foods we select and nourish us. Friends of Hive I share a tropical yellow food that can not miss on the table of my home, the banana.

In Argentina, the banana has greater circulation since the migratory movement of the Venezuelan culture made vegetable sellers in the country decided to incorporate the yellow fruit in their sales. Being a fruit of the tropics, the cost is high, however, we make the sacrifice to buy it. In this country, Argentina, the plantain is confused with the banana and many people ask how to prepare it.

The yellow color that dresses the plantain with dark spots indicates that it is ready to be consumed, in other words ripe; there are different recipes, some simple to those that include several steps. In this opportunity I share two types of dishes that my mother used to make for me; the yellow color of the plantain changes to darker or paler in the preparation. The first dish is the sweet plantain, in itself is a sweet food, but when you add sugar to the water it caramelizes and the yellow color darkens and intensifies the sweetness.

My mother also taught me to make banana rebosado, which consists of parboiling the fruit, removing the peel when it is cooked, open in half like a sandwich and add cheese or something else; flatten a little to pass through a beaten egg and then through wheat flour; heat oil and fry until golden brown. When you chop the plantain the cheese from the heat is melted and the combination of sweet and salty is explosive.

Accompany this yellow food, whether it's overflowing or caramelized, with a salad and protein, you won't regret it. You dressed in yellow... yellow is what looks... said the song of the Tucusito, so this fruit cannot be overlooked because of its striking and nutritious color because it indicates that it is rich in potassium, strengthens the immune system, among other properties, until a new meeting of the theme #arcoalimentos.
