I think you just explained reason why platform will have difficulties becoming mainstream. Idea of creativity being above monetary gains will never be dominant behavior. Opportunists arrive, people are trying to manipulate others in every way possible, to "target" them, to label them, which will increase production of articles we see on the rest of the internet. Clickbaits, 10 ways to do this, to do that,tricks, lifehacks, meta-posts, raffles, giveaway, etc. I already have problem with spammers camping my articles. Everybody with slightly above average intelligence can figure out these patterns and apply them, or just copy them from "trending" tab. Path of "analyzing" what gets upvotes will destroy diversity, returning us to square 1 of consumers world we all try to escape from. We need more art and life stories! People are developing their "formulas" just so they can post every day without thinking or planning. This platform is waste of time for them, they don't enjoy it. They are not here because they believe in it. They are here to milk the cow. And it is responsibility of everybody to care who they vote for. Power will end up in hands of mediocrity sooner or later otherwise.
Am i some kind of smart guy? Hell no, i am idealist, "wasting" time thinking how to say something refreshing that will meet expectations. People already gave me generous support, and i want them happy. This is how i see this platform. Not template posting. I'm sure many people see it as i do. I know Nenad, you were talking about imposter syndrome yesterday, and while people who have something smart to say hesitate, spammers are shamelessly printing. It's time to stop the trend :)
