Today's post is about the difference between healthy sugar/fat and unhealthy.
- Poor nutrition - preface
Capitalism, in egoistic company hands hid the debilitating effects of poor nutrition. They provide with fast, unhealthy & processed food. Humanity went for it, because we were left without basic knowledge on how to make healthy food. It was easy to take the bait, especially because we live in a very fast and money driven world.
Who has the time to learn how to cook, when You have to work, carry tons of emotional baggage on shoulders and can just go & buy cheap comfort food?
That gave us not only weight problems.
Bad nutrition gives a bad mood, less energy, stomach pain and can be a direct reason for many diseases like cancer, Alzheimer or diabetes.
The biggest problem is that we are not conscious about it.
We tend to think that we just have a bad day, not knowing how everything we eat influences how we feel.
- Gastroenterology
For a few years we have had new field of science, called gastroenterology.
It says for example, that most happy hormones (like endorphin, serotonin, or dopamine) are produced in our gut, not brain. That's why how we function daily is directly connected to the food we eat.
- Unrefined sugar and cold pressed fat are good
I'd like to straighten out a misconception about sugar and fat.
Both are good and needed on a daily basis. The problem begins when fat or sugar is heated. If so, they lose its beneficial effects, turning to very unhealthy products.
If You have on label "cold-pressed oil", or "unrefined sugar" it's good for You.
If it says just "oil", or "sugar" it is a no-no for your health.
For example, it is common knowledge that honey is very healthy.
But if You add it to hot tea, before it cools off - its structure turns into unwanted goo. Same with fat, that's why I've made healthy fries recipe, where I advise to add fat after fries are made in the oven.

If You don't have already high tolerance on this drug, it makes sugar rush & right after it You get lethargy, sluggishness, irritability.
Sugar is also the main, if not the only reason why we have holes in the teeth.

This white drug silently influences every move You take. Its effects are similar to other hard drugs like cocaine, or amphetamines.

- Refined sugar challenge
You don't believe me it is such a problem? Test it.
Don't eat any refined sugar for a month, or more.
To do it correctly, read the composition of every grocery item in your basket.
Most of the food people unknowingly buy is bad for them. It can be hard and irritating, because even going to a restaurant might be off the plate😅.
You will find sugar even in canned peas, corn, beans, tomatoes. In bread, rolls, pizza, pate, and most all ready meals to go. The list seems never ending.
In the first weeks of detox You will feel bad - like a nicotine addict trying to quit cigarettes. Your body will crave processed sugar, you might sweat more, feel weak, be constantly in a bad mood, easily irritated. Standard things addicts feel, when off the hard drugs.
Detox time can take from a month to half of the year.
When achieved, a lot of surprising effects will start to envelop:
➡️ Constantly enhanced mood,
➡️ increased energy,
➡️ mental clarity,
➡️ better focus,
➡️ healthier body,
➡️ reduced inflammation,
➡️ improved weight management (especially abdominal fat),
➡️ younger looking skin,
➡️ small risk of diabetes, and lowered risks of many more,
➡️ less or no dentist (holes in teeth are caused by bacteria that eat sugar).
After I lost 40kg in 6 months I was still randomly eating refined sugar for a few years. It was hard to ignore mothers cake, or ice cream when feeling down.
- I'm proud to announce that for about a year now I'm free from sugar
I lost any urges to eat sugar-based products. Like my brain doesn't treat products with it as food anymore. It's like somebody would give You cake with sand, or gypsum cake, do You still feel like eating it, knowing its there?
