The Third Jerry Banfield Show – Conclusion

Would you like to read this conclusion of the third Jerry Banfield show because you will learn that simple things like healthy food, water and breathing exercises are all of you may need?

The Third Jerry Banfield Show – Conclusion

I've had that same thing come up with my eyes. I asked people to pray for my vision and the unworthiness came up like, "Who are you to ask for prayers for your eyes when other people have a lot worse problems they're going through? Who are you to say that your vision's not good enough like you can see really well?"

I can read the sign at the back of the room. I can see the numbers on the little punching bag back there, but I say, "Who are you to, you should just settle for this. This is good enough."

Yet I'm glad other people don't do that. I'm glad other people ask me for help.

The hard thing is sometimes looking at, "If this is possible, why am I here?"

Getting honest with other people can really help in terms of negative motivation like I don't want to go through my day, be feeling like my eyes can't see that good, feeling like I need glasses to see better and feeling like my eyes aren't good enough.

That negative motivation says, "Okay, well, what do I want?"

I want to be grateful for what I can see all the time. I want to love and appreciate my eyes and all of the beautiful things they've shown me throughout my life.

Even with the worthiness, I want to feel worthy of all the good things in life, because if I don't feel worthy of them, how am I going to feel like other people are worthy of them instead of getting jealous?

The Third Jerry Banfield Show – Health – Conclusion

Like if I feel I'm not worthy of perfect eyesight, "Well, this jerk over here who has perfect eyesight," you know, I gotta be upset at them. I have to be honest with it, this is how it is.

There are two different types of talking. There's one where I basically want to sell you on how I am.

"Oh, I'm so sick. It's miserable. It's terrible."

But you don't really want to be different. You just want the other person to understand. Then there's another way, "I'm not feeling good today. And I don't ever want to feel like this again."

When a newcomer comes to a meeting, the honesty of like, "I feel miserable today and what can I do to never feel this way again?"

It's like I'm telling you I'm miserable because I want to learn from this, and I never want to feel that way again.

Nancy:

There has to be a point where you've got to start believing in what you're doing. Some take longer than others. I think that can be such a positive thing, just the fact that you're going there and sitting there, be grateful for that.

I mean that in itself is a miracle that you are sitting there making the effort, but some don't see it that way. It's really a shame because it's such a blessing to have them and be a part of them, instead of moaning and projecting the negative, you look at it in a positive way and they would feel better immediately.

Above your diet, the other thing, because I eat a lot of plants, but I do eat chicken occasionally and fish. Sometimes I'll eat blue cheese on my salad, but you do peanut butter?

Jerry:

Yes, I love peanut butter, almond butter, walnuts.

Nancy:

But one of the things that I've noticed over the years, and everybody in my family is like, "I've got Nancy, the health person."

It wasn't anything that I studied or looked up. It's just it made me feel better, and that's probably why I'm the smallest one in the family. But the one thing that I noticed that is very effective is water because sometimes when you're hungry, it's not that you're hungry.

You could eat, and then go for a walk or whatever. You feel like you're hungry. It's not you're hungry. It's your body saying you need water.

It's like early in the morning before I even eat anything or I'll eat a tangerine or something, and it's like, I don't feel satisfying. It's like my body was saying, "I need water." I drink water and I'm fine. It's just water really, it's so effective in your health.

I drink purified water. Some people drink spring water, I drink purified water and it just makes you feel better. I know that if I don't drink a lot of water during the day, I feel it. It's very amazing. It's like a drug.

It is because it just makes you feel bad. I highly, highly recommend it.

Jerry:

So Nancy has been saying that the power of drinking water, like for those who are listening on the audio, a lot of you can just feel better and fix your appetite by drinking water.

You've helped me remember a couple of essential things for health.

One, a lot of problems are really easily solved like drinking some water can often fix a headache, because you're just dehydrated. Having a fruit or vegetable to eat can often completely cure your hunger and bring your energy levels up, and fruits and vegetables have a lot of water, which makes them really good to eat because they both hydrate you and fill you up.

Whereas if you eat foods that have like a lot of salt and have been dehydrated, those can actually dehydrate you, and then leave you thirsty or feeling hungry again. A lot of simple things in the body can be fixed by just drinking some water or breathing.

On Wednesday we're going to have a breath-work exercise and it's amazing how you can fix pains in your body just by taking a few deep breaths.

For anxiety, take a 30, 40, 50 deep breaths in a row. It will often get rid of anxiety because anxiety for me often comes up as on an unconscious level, I'm not breathing enough, so my body feels like "We're suffocating," and I start to feel anxious.

I take a significant amount of deep breaths, my body's oxygenated, the anxiety goes away.

You've also helped me to see that we need a supportive community of people around us. I think that's what's so good about AA meetings, you're all there for the same reason.

That's what I'm making this show, a community, because it can be overwhelming once you start to see, "Alright, I want to go to a place where I got no symptoms and no illnesses and no pain."

What I got right now, symptoms, illnesses, and pain.

How do I even start?

The community is where you get that help of, "Well, read 'How Not to Die,' read 'You Are the Placebo.' Try exercising."

I exercise every day. I get outside every day.

And just like going to AA the first time you sit there, you don't just get sober or figure anything out, but you keep coming back enough times and you keep learning one little thing one day, another little thing, and you talk to somebody and they share.

Then, it's kind of like this critical mass. At some point, when you do enough of these right actions for your health, you kind of hit this critical mass where you've got momentum and you see it's happening like, "I'm getting healthier, I'm looking better. My weight is where I want it to be."

The Third Jerry Banfield Show – Health – Conclusion

You just keep staying on the path, then the only thing is to notice when you've dipped off it, like for me, I feel I'm immune to any illness right now. I feel it's not possible for me at this moment to be sick, that nothing out there can hurt me.

If a virus comes over, I feel like, "Welcome to the Jerry Banfield show! Come enjoy this body with us."

This is what I tell my daughter, "There's no virus that's out there trying to hurt us. There's fear. There are people who are scared."

If you have a healthy body and you think of yourself as healthy and you welcome in, I don't hardly wash my hands because I'm so healthy. I don't need to, my body can withstand and it assimilates.

Have you seen Star Trek?

Yeah, like the Borg, they just assimilate all the life forms they come across. When our bodies are filled with viruses and germs and when new ones come in, "Welcome to the club guys, we're all here to live in symbiosis. We all want a healthy body where we can all live and survive."

What they don't understand is why lots of people with lots of viruses don't have any symptoms. I would say that's because they've been assimilated into the body. They're not sick. They look at these things like viruses and bacteria are labeled as bad, but they don't understand why one person gets exposed to it and it doesn't even show up in their energy system.

Like why a healthcare worker can work in the middle of sick people all day and not get sick. And someone else can barely walk by somebody else and they instantly die from it. That stuff's all mental and a community is what helps you.

So thank you all for coming today.

I appreciate you being here and I look forward to talking more with you.
