Challenge To Apple: Think Different Now!

“Think different” is an advertising slogan used from 1997 to 2002 by Apple Computer, Inc., now named Apple Inc. This article explores how Apple might best implement that challenge in the era of COVID.

By Neenah Payne

I have always loved going to Apple stores – first because even the original architecture is so inspiring. However, most importantly, I admired the fact that Steve Jobs understood the value of providing stores where customers can go to not only buy products but also to learn a lot from very well-informed and friendly staff, get products repaired, and (before COVID) could attend free classes. Apple stores have, in effect, functioned as mini universities.

Because of the awesome support Apple stores provide, I would never buy Androids even if they had better functionality. Last fall, when I went to the Brooklyn Apple store in my neighborhood to upgrade from my old iPhone to an iPhone 11, I learned that a new iPad Air would be coming out soon. So, in December, I ordered the new iPad Air online with the help of David Henderly in Apple Business Sales who made the experience very smooth and effortless. I am in awe of both the iPhone 11 and the iPad Air because they are both serious upgrades for me. It will take me a while to learn how to take full advantage of all the amazing features. The sleek design also makes both products beautiful.

Steve Jobs took very seriously the challenge to “Think different”. His Macintosh computers provide an alternative to Windows PCs that many people have adopted. When Jobs introduced the first iPhone in 2007, he took the world from flip phones overnight to a level of connectivity that revolutionized our lives. Apple has continued that spirit of innovation. The keyboard case available for the iPad Air makes typing easy and turns the iPad almost into a laptop.

So, the question is, how might Jobs think different in the era of COVID?

What Would Steve Jobs Do Now?

The open air design of the Apple store on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan shown below is a call to joy, freedom, play, invention – to “Think different”. I have always loved going there because it has always been an adventure and a very pleasurable learning experience. So, when I went to the store yesterday to turn in my old iPad for a refund, I was really shocked to discover that Apple now feels much more like a prison and the formerly helpful staff now seem more like prison guards.

What would Steve Jobs think of turning his stores in virtual jails?

Since many doctors say (as shown further below) that masks are not necessary or effective and cause serious harm in multiple ways, I don’t wear a mask. However, I understand that many stores require customers to wear masks. The question is how much those policies are enforced. The two grocery stores in my neighborhood and drug store require masks but don’t enforce the policy. The New York City buses and subways require masks, but don’t enforce the policy. New York city requires masks but doesn’t enforce it.

In the Brooklyn Apple store, I was given a mask and asked to wear it. However, as I sat talking with the salesperson who sold me my iPhone, he didn’t insist that I keep it on. Yet, in the Manhattan Apple store as I waited in line to return my iPhone, a salesperson wasn’t satisfied that I was wearing the mask. Since I wasn’t wearing it to his satisfaction, he reported me to his supervisor who threatened to throw me out of the store if I didn’t wear the mask to her satisfaction. I was repeatedly threatened for the 30-45 minutes I was there. Apple Fifth Avenue now feels like a prison and the salespeople act like prison guards. I don’t think this is what Steve Jobs had in mind or would want now. When I report this situation again to Apple Customer Relations, I will share this article with them via email.

Can Apple “Think different” in the era of COVID as others discussed further below are doing now?

The Myth of “Asymptomatic Carriers”

The White House Coronavirus Task Force recommended the following unprecedented policies for everyone, including completely healthy people, based on the belief that people who have no symptoms of COVID-19 may be “asymptomatic carriers” who could thus infect others they come in contact with – even casually including passing them on the street:

  1. Self-Quarantine
  2. Lockdown: closing businesses, schools, churches, etc.
  3. Requirement to wear masks
  4. Social distancing
  5. Restrictions on travel
  6. Taking temperature of customers at businesses
  7. Testing customers
  8. Contact tracing
  9. Restrictions on gatherings (except for BLM)
  10. COVID vaccine
We were told that these unprecedented, draconian, and tyrannical policies are necessary to save humanity from a deadly pandemic. The White House Coronavirus Task Force and corporate media have urged Americans to “follow the science”. However, what is the science behind the belief in “asymptomatic carriers” and that COVID is a “deadly pandemic”?

Without the belief in “asymptomatic carriers”, none of these policies could be justified for healthy people. So, without that core belief, businesses would not have been closed, millions of people would not have been put out of work, 40 million Americans would not be on the verge of losing their homes (that’s about 10 times the population of the nation of Costa Rica), restaurants would not have closed, the food chain would not have been disrupted. Schools would not have been closed for months. The hospitality industry (including airlines, airports, cruise ships, hotels) would not have been put at risk.

The primary rule of medicine is “First do no harm”. Clearly, the COVID “health” policies have failed to comply with the rule. It is well documented now that those policies have caused more deaths than COVID – even with the inflated counting of COVID deaths – as admitted by Dr. Deborah Birx of the White House Coronavirus Task Force.

FORMER WHITE HOUSE OFFICIAL ON DEADLY COST OF LOCKDOWN says, “With Europe and parts of the US headed for more Lockdowns, Journalist and former White House official, Darren Beattie, has incredible insight into the impact of Covid lockdowns so far. Are we losing far more lives than we are saving? This story is too important to miss.”

The show reports that the CDC statistics for COVID indicate that there is a 99% survival rate for people under age 70. People over age 70 also have a good chance of surviving COVID – especially when treated early with any of the five proven cures. So, while COVID poses no threat to Americans, the COVID “health” policies have already caused massive destruction both in terms of the economy and in the health of the nation. We were told that children threaten the health of their grandparents. Yet, a French study shows kids don’t spread COVID-19. A broader study drew the same conclusion.

World Health Organization: Asymptomatic Carriers Are Rare

Unpacking the New WHO Controversy Over Asymptomatic COVID-19 Transmission includes a video in which Dr. Maria Van Kerkhove, the World Health Organization’s technical lead for COVID-19, said at a press briefing on June 8 that asymptomatic transmission appears to be “very rare.” The article says: “For months, researchers have warned that people without any COVID-19 symptoms could still be silent carriers of the disease, making it that much harder to get the pandemic under control—and that much more important to take precautions like social distancing and wearing a mask, even if you feel fine.

So it came as a surprise when Maria Van Kerkhove, the World Health Organization’s (WHO) technical lead for COVID-19, said at a press briefing on June 8 that asymptomatic transmission appears to be “very rare.” Her statement came just days after the organization directed healthy people living in areas with widespread community transmission to wear fabric face masks in public to help contain the advance of the disease.

In an interview with TIME following the press briefing, Van Kerkhove said she did not mean to suggest that asymptomatic people cannot spread COVID-19. “I did not say that asymptomatic cases cannot transmit; they can,” Van Kerkhove says. “The question is, do they? And if they do, how often is that happening?” Van Kerkhove says there’s not yet a clear answer, but the WHO’s analyses suggest symptomatic individuals are responsible for most coronavirus transmission. (She also clarified during a June 9 briefing that her comments were in response to a journalist’s question, and did not constitute official WHO policy.)”

Problems With Masks

In the video DAVID ICKE: FROM THE FASCIST STATE OF BRITAIN A MESSAGE TO AMERICA, British author David Icke points out that the requirement to wear masks is not driven by health, but the plan to change the psyche of humanity. Icke explains that wearing a mask is a symbol of submission, of being silenced, of de-humanization, of a deletion of individuality and uniqueness. Icke calls on Americans and the people of the world to take off their masks to express their freedom and to regain their self-respect and sovereignty.

Dr. Judy Mikovits: The Case Against Masks

The Case Against Masks: Ten Reasons Why Mask Use Should be Limited is an August 2020 book co-authored by Dr. Judy Mikovits and Kent Heckenlively. Dr. Mikovits is featured in the Plandemic Indoctornation documentary which was seen by over 1 billion people. Amazon initially sold Dr. Mikovits’ book, but later banned it as it began to silence scientists who question the World Health’s COVID “pandemic” narrative and support the Big Pharma push for the unprecedented vaccine.

Amazon Description

Do we really need to wear masks? From the New York Times Bestselling authors of Plague of Corruption comes the must-read guide on masks and re-opening following the COVID-19 pandemic.

THE CASE AGAINST MASKS is the book all America needs to be reading as we emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic. Written by New York Times bestselling authors Dr. Judy Mikovits and Kent Heckenlively, this book reviews the evidence for and against widespread public masking as provided by the Centers for Disease Control and the Mayo Clinic, as well as top scientific publications such as the New England Journal of Medicine and The Lancet. This debate needs to take place without fear and paranoia. Important questions raised in this book are the effect of masks on oxygen and carbon dioxide levels, how SARS-CoV-2 spreads, the effectiveness of various types of masks, those who are most vulnerable to COVID-19, and whether our children should go back to school in the fall, and if so, what measures they should take.

The authors' previous book, PLAGUE OF CORRUPTION, was the runaway science bestseller of 2020, and the authors bring that same passion and attention to detail to the mask question. As politicians and bureaucrats of all stripes are weighing in on this question, with some placing their cities and states under mandatory masking provisions, we need to understand the science behind their decisions. Are such measures a reasonable response to current circumstances, or is it a dramatic overreach, which in many cases might make the situation even worse? America desperately needs this public conversation to take place with the best science we have available.

As Americans have always done during difficult times, we must summon the courage to have these challenging conversations.

Important Challenge For Apple Now

Steve Jobs’ vision both empowered and freed people in many ways. If he were alive today, my guess is that he would join people and companies that are respecting the health, rights, dignity, and freedom of their customers. CDC statistics show that this flu threatens less than 1% of the population.

Even New York’s Governor Cuomo now says it’s time to re-open the state. However, people are not waiting for governments to end the lockdowns. Over 50,000 Restaurants In Italy Declare "I Am Open" Defying Lockdown Measures - Activist Post. Restaurants in Italy have said, “Enough is enough!” and have declared an end to the lockdown. Patrons are yelling “Get out!” at the police – and they leave!

Dolores Cahill is a professor at University College Dublin and is a recognized international expert in the fields of molecular biology and immunology. She created three organizations to respond to the COVID “health” policies: World Freedom Alliance, World Doctors Alliance, and Freedom Airway. FAFTA is the acronym for “Freedom Airway & Freedom Travel Alliance.” FAFTA provides a unified voice of advocacy for travelers around the world.

Professor Cahill says we should not have to wear masks, take a PCR test, or have proof of a vaccine to fly. She is working to establish an airline that respects our right to travel, our informed consent, and our bodily integrity. Prof. Cahill wants to work with Freedom Hotels and Freedom Restaurants which can put pressure on politicians to establish their city, state, or country as a Freedom Site. Prof. Cahill points out that the lockdown is undermining the travel industry.

Carlsbad, CA Says No More to Lockdowns. May It Be a National Model! shows that re-opening fever is hitting California now – a state with Governor Gavin Newsom, perhaps the most tyrannical and repressive governor anywhere. ‘NO-MASK’ RESTAURANT REBELS AGAINST NEWSOM. The unprecedented and destructive lockdown may soon end if restaurants in other states and countries declare a defacto end to the lockdown and take our rights and freedom back now.

Apple should “Think different” now in the tradition of Jobs. It should follow these great examples and treat its customers with respect rather than as prisoners and not turn its sales force into prison guards.
