I was out and about last Thursday evening, meeting some friends at a pub. On my way I saw this most amazing sunset, where the clouds were coloured gold, moving and swirling under the wind.
It reminded me of a story that M liked very much when he was a bit younger. The book was called "The Cloud Spinner", and it was about a boy who could use clouds and spin them into beautiful threads and cloths, and was then forced by the King and Queen to make so many dresses and gowns that all the clouds in the sky was used up.
In the book, it said that the boy used golden clouds from the sunrise to make golden threads, white clouds during the day to make pure white threads, and crimson clouds during sunset to make crimson threads. Looking at a sunset like this, it is not hard to image how elegant these clothes must be! No wonder the King wants to get his hand these cloud spun clothes so much!
