Slovak designer Lenka Petráková has created a concept for a futuristic-looking floating station that could collect plastic from the ocean and eventually recycle it. A unique concept called The 8th Continent, what could is the solution to the problems of ocean pollution with plastic. At the moment it is one of the most interesting ideas, quite bold that would have a positive impact on our environment.
In his futuristic concept, the floating station can could include a small research and education center for the study and presentation of the marine environment, a greenhouse where plants are grown through a hydroponic system and spaces where valuable researchers could work that interesting field.
