Hola! feliz noche para todos, el día de hoy en mis prácticas ambulatorias tuve la oportunidad de aprender un poco más sobre las mascarillas que utilizamos a diario es por ello que quiero compartir con ustedes esta información.

Desde el inicio de la pandemia, cuando caminamos por la calle solemos ver que no todas las personas usan el mismo tipo de cubrebocas para protegerse, algunas usan de tela, otras usan las quirúrgicas, cada una es diferente y con distintas características
Since the beginning of the pandemic, when we walk down the street we tend to see that not all people use the same type of face mask to protect themselves, some use cloth, others use surgical ones, each one is different and there are certain differences between them.
Una de ellas es la mascarilla KN95, esta es recomendada para el personal de salud que labora en hospitales y ambulatorios, debido a que todos los días tenemos contacto con una gran cantidad de usuarios, este tipo de mascarilla es muy confiable ya que absorbe el 95% de las partículas haciéndola más segura, además de esto las podemos conseguir de diferentes tamaños y se ajustan a todos los tipos de rostros, por mi parte al usar esta mascarilla se me ha dificultado respirar un poco que con una de tela o quirúrgica, pero son seguras e ideales para nosotros como personal de salud.
One of them is the KN95 mask, this is recommended for health personnel who work in hospitals and outpatient clinics, because every day we have contact with a large number of users, this type of mask is very reliable since it absorbs 95 % of the particles making it safer, in addition to this we can get them in different sizes and they fit all types of faces, for my part when using this mask it has been difficult for me to breathe a bit than with a cloth or surgical one, but they are safe and ideal for us as healthcare personnel.
Por otra parte, tenemos la mascarilla quirúrgica se utiliza con frecuencia dentro del área de la salud pero también es vista entre la población, este tipo de cubrebocas a diferencia de la KN95 no protege contra partículas inhalables, pero si contra los fluidos corporales, así que no se debería elegir al momento de trabajar con pacientes COVID ya que no proporciona la misma protección al entrar en contacto con el paciente, no olvidemos que una vez que se haya usado debemos desecharla, no es reutilizable así que si has usado esta mascarilla más de una vez estas cometiendo un grave error.
On the other hand, we have the surgical mask is used frequently within the health area but it is also seen among the population, this type of mask, unlike the KN95, does not protect against inhalable particles, but against body fluids, so It should not be chosen when working with COVID patients since it does not provide the same protection when coming into contact with the patient, let's not forget that once it has been used we must discard it, it is not reusable so if you have used this mask more than once you are making a serious mistake.
Ahora bien, por ultimo esta la mascarilla de tela, que es usada con frecuencia en la población, las hay de diferentes modelos y colores, es menos eficaz que una KN95 o un cubreboca quirúrgico, su efectividad va a depender del tipo de tela con que se haya realizado, este tipo de cubrebocas lo podemos encontrar en cualquier tienda y hasta lo puedes hacer tú mismo.
Now, finally, there is the fabric mask, which is used frequently in the population, there are different models and colors, it is less effective than a KN95 or a surgical mask, its effectiveness will depend on the type of fabric with which has been made, this type of face mask can be found in any store and you can even make it yourself.
