El día domingo tres de octubre celebramos el cumpleaños de mi papá, fueron sus 50 años, y no solo fue un día especial sino un día diferente.

Sucedió que se estaba haciendo tarde y estábamos esperando que llegara mi hermano mayor para empezar a compartir, él había salido a casa de una amiga a preparar algunos páspalos, entonces mi papá, mi esposo y mi hermanito menor y yo decidimos salir a buscarlo, cuando salimos empezó a chispear, es decir caer algunas gotas de lluvia, y queríamos regresarnos para evitar mojarnos con la lluvia, pero mi hermano menor dice, "tranquilos no va a llover todo el día ha estado así, relájense" y nosotros como buenos ciudadanos confiamos en sus palabras, y seguimos nuestro camino.

Tuvimos que pasar por un estadio rodeado de montes y en completa oscuridad para llegar a la calle principal y luego entrar por un callejón que nos llevaría a la comunidad donde estaba mi hermano, yo estaba aterrorizada porque hace varios años en ese estadio me habían robado y a pleno sol del día, entonces, caminar por allí de noche era muy fuerte para mi, pero me arme de valentía y seguí.

Volviendo al tema de la lluvia, que según las predicciones de mi hermano menor no iba a caer, pues no fue así señores, sino que LLOVIO, y lo pongo en mayúscula, porque como se dice aquí en Venezuela, cayo fue un chaparrón de agua, pero bien fuerte, ya habíamos salido del estadio, y ahora nos encontrábamos en un callejón que también estaba oscuro y lleno de montes 😂 tuvimos que correr hasta llegar a un lugar donde pudiéramos refugiarnos, una vez pasada la lluvia y todos empapados seguimos caminando hasta llegar a la casa donde estaba mi hermano, y siguió lloviendo como por media mas, así que nos toco esperar un rato allí.

Mas tarde pudimos regresar, ahora si con el cielo despejado y llegar a casa a compartir un rato con nuestros demás familiares que habían llegado de sorpresa y nos estaban esperando desde temprano.

Finalmente cantamos cumpleaños, comimos perroscalientes y nos acostamos a descansar. Siempre dando gracias a Dios por regalarle un año mas de vida a mi papá. ❤️

It happened that it was getting late and we were waiting for my older brother to arrive to start sharing, he had gone out to a friend's house to prepare some paspalos, then my dad, my husband and my younger brother, and I decided to go out to look for him, when we went out it started to sparkle, We wanted to turn back to avoid getting wet in the rain, but my younger brother said, "don't worry, it's not going to rain all day, it's been like this all day, relax" and as good citizens we trusted his words, and we continued on our way.

We had to pass through a stadium surrounded by mountains and in complete darkness to reach the main street and then enter through an alley that would lead us to the community where my brother was, I was terrified because several years ago in that stadium I had been robbed and in the sun of the day, then, walking there at night was very strong for me, but I was brave and continued.

Returning to the subject of the rain that according to the predictions of my younger brother was not going to fall, well it was not like that gentlemen, but it RAINED, and I put it in capital letters, because as they say here in Venezuela, it was a downpour of water, but very strong, we had already left the stadium, and now we were in an alley that was also dark and full of mountains 😂 we had to run until we reached a place where we could take shelter from the rain, once the rain was over and we were all soaked, we continued walking until we reached the house where my brother was, and it continued raining for about half more, so we had to wait there for a while.

Later we were able to return, now with a clear sky and get home to share some time with our other family members who had arrived by surprise and were waiting for us since early in the morning.

Finally we sang birthdays, ate hot dogs and went to bed to rest. Always thanking God for giving my dad another year of life. ❤️
