How To Handle Cats Behavior When Pregnant. 14/30

When you observe that your cat suddenly changes its behavior and takes to following you around the house, or worse still jumps on you when you enter the room, it may be a sign that she is about to have a litter. The best time to start checking on your cat is just before you put her back to sleep. Cat's behavior when pregnant is very similar to that of their kittens. They will wake up one day when they are not supposed to and cry for you to come back.

This is normal behavior for cats when they are about to give birth and they look forward to you coming home. It can also be due to nervousness and stress. But if your cat keeps whining and jumping around the house after having a litter, then there might be something wrong. Cat's behavior when pregnant is different from that of kittens.

There are many reasons why your cat acts this way. If she was separated from you, she may feel insecure and would want you to come back to where she is. So she starts whining and jumping around, trying to locate you. When you return, she picks up the scent of her litter box from where she had been hiding and thinks that you are now in her new litter box. Cats don't usually pounce on you when you return from work, but they do show some signs that they are ready for their litter tray.

Like with humans, some cats don't like using litter trays and this can cause litter box issues.
A lot of this can be resolved by simply letting them out every once in a while and making sure they're in a safe place, like your garden. Some cats will also keep you away by meowing continuously or scratching and making marks on the walls of the litter trays.

Many cats will also make sure that no one else uses your house. This can be a problem if you don't realize that it's going on until it's too late. Cats have very sharp senses and can smell even a little thing like urine or food, which means that they can pick off on your scent. If you are going away on a business trip, make sure that your cat isn't around the litter box, and if you are at home, make sure that you're not letting any other cats in there.

Another of the cat's behavior problems when pregnant is when they become possessive and jealous. Just like with human couples, when you two start fighting, there can be serious consequences. They can even hurt each other physically, and it can turn into a major issue between the two of you. Your cats will growl and snap at one another, and even bite one another. You can stop this if you take away their toys and blankets and get them out of the house at all times.

Something else that will happen is that they'll take over your room. When this happens, you might wonder what you should do about it, because your cats are very territorial and won't usually listen to reason most of the time. To be effective, you need to either move the litter tray somewhere else in your house or take your cat elsewhere to do their business. Once you've done this, however, you'll soon see them working themselves out of the litter tray, and your life will once again be peaceful.

As with any problem, you can always take your cat to a vet and try to work out what is causing this. Sometimes it's something simple that they are playing with, and you can just change the toys and the environment to stop this behavior. Other times, you might be looking at a new brand of litter, or there could be some underlying health issues. Whatever it is, it can be fixed if you know what to look for and how to address it.
