A Garden Tidy Up. Fun In The Sun.

Guy's the sun has been shining all day and it was the perfect time to enjoy some gardening.

I have been meaning to do this job for the last couple of weeks but with the rain and the wind, I just haven't had it in me to do it.

When I first took on this job, I knew that at some point the garden edging would need correcting.

Over many years the weeds have grown on the same side as the paving slabs and have pushed the edging away.

I had no idea how to tackle this so I did what I thought was best and that was to take the edging up and start afresh.

It took a few hours to get them level and straight but once it was done it looked amazing, check this out...

I then turned the bed over to get rid of the weeds that had decided to make a home in this lovely garden.

The other job today was to get the oval shape on the island in the middle of the garden straight.

The couple who own the house are in their 90's and their daughter had tried to make an oval but it wasn't straight.

I tackled this by using a garden how to prize the grass and soil away, once it was done the garden was really starting to pop.

At the top of the garden, there is a bit of a rockery, this had grown out of control I went around with some hand shears and cut everything that wasn't flowering back.

I then made my way up the side of the house with weedkiller, I am not a fan of using the stuff, but when a customer is paying for a job the customer is always right.

So with the weeds sprayed all I had to do was sweep up and make my way home for a well-deserved sandwich.

hope you like my progress, until next time my friends, stay safe.
