Hablar de Disney es mirar al pasado y visualizar la infancia de muchas personas ya que se trata de una de las compañías más antiguas en cuanto a dibujos animado se refiere (desde 1923). Desde que los videojuegos tomaron importancia en las vidas de muchas personas varios desarrolladores se interesaron en realizar juegos en diferentes sistemas del mundo de Disney.

To talk about Disney is to look at the past and visualize the childhood of many people since it is one of the oldest companies in terms of cartoons (since 1923). Since video games became important in many people's lives, several developers have been interested in making games on different systems in the Disney world.

El primer sistema que recibiría el honor de mostrar al clásico Mickey Mouse fue la Game & Watch en el año 1981, un año más tarde veríamos un nuevo juego llamado Mickey & Donald para el Game & Watch Multi-Pantalla. Al tener éxito Disney se interesaría de manera gradual en pertenecer al mundo de los videojuegos, esto daría el comienzo a una enorme cantidad de juegos.

The first system that would receive the honor of showing the classic Mickey Mouse was the Game & Watch in 1981, a year later we would see a new game called Mickey & Donald for the Game & Watch Multi-Screen. When Disney was successful, it would gradually become interested in belonging to the world of video games, and this would be the beginning of a huge amount of games.

Sorcerer's Apprentice fue el primer videojuego de Disney lanzado para una video consola, la Atari 2600 en el año 1983, debido a la gran fama de la consola anteriormente mencionada fue uno de los videojuegos más jugados, marcando la infancia de muchos gamers de antaño.

Sorcerer's Apprentice was Disney's first video game released for a video console, the Atari 2600 in 1983. Due to the great fame of the aforementioned console, it was one of the most played video games, marking the childhood of many gamers of yesteryear.

Con los años Disney no dejó a un lado el mundo de los videojuegos, son muchos los sistemas que han recibido desarrollo de juegos basados en series animadas o películas de dicha compañía, aquí podemos encontrar a la NES, Master System, SNES, MegaDrive, PS1, Sega Saturn y muchas más (inclusive consolas actuales).

With the years Disney did not leave aside the world of video games, there are many systems that have received development of games based on animated series or movies from that company, here we can find the NES, Master System, SNES, MegaDrive, PS1, Sega Saturn and many more (including current consoles).

A continuación, te mostraré algunos videojuegos clásicos de Disney los cuales representaron la infancia para muchos jugadores, algunos de ellos fueron juegos sencillos de culminar, pero otros formarían a verdaderos gamers debido a lo difícil y complicados que eran.

Next, I will show you some classic Disney video games which represented childhood for many players, some of them were simple games to finish, but others would make real gamers because of how difficult and complicated they were.

The Lion King

Una de las películas más famosas de Disney, inclusive recientemente se lanzó una totalmente renovada de dicho universo. El videojuego The Lion King se lanzó en la Super Nintendo en año 1994 y es uno de los juegos de dicha consola más recordado por muchos, no solo por tener buenos gráficos, era por su demencial dificultad.

One of Disney's most famous films, even recently a completely revamped one from that universe was released. The video game The Lion King was released on the Super Nintendo in 1994 and is one of the most remembered games of that console by many, not only for having good graphics, it was for its insane difficulty.

Podíamos jugar con el personaje principal (Simba) en sus dos facetas, es decir, desde que es un cachorro hasta un león adulto, observando en todo momento mediante nuestro mando y consola toda la historia de la clásica película pasando por diferentes niveles que se caracterizaron por su gran dificultad.

We could play with the main character (Simba) in its two facets, that is to say, from being a puppy to an adult lion, observing at all times through our controller and console the entire history of the classic film through different levels that were characterized by their great difficulty.

Aladdin

A diferencia del anterior juego, Aladdin salió con diferentes versiones para dos sistemas en los años 90, una versión para Sega MegaDrive y otra para Super Nintendo, cada una era única a pesar de que explicaban los acontecimientos de la película, pero un videojuego estaba orientado a un público un poco más maduro (MegaDrive) mientras el otro era más infantil (Super Nintendo).

Unlike the previous game, Aladdin came out with different versions for two systems in the 90s, one version for Sega MegaDrive and another for Super Nintendo, each one was unique even though they explained the events of the movie, but one video game was aimed at a slightly more mature audience (MegaDrive) while the other was more childish (Super Nintendo).

Indistintamente de que versión jugaras ambas fueron sorprendentes, con una dificultad respetable que a muchos seguramente les costó tiempo poder culminar, inclusive la versión de Super Nintendo la cual te daba como reto obtener unos cristales rojos los cuales se encontraban escondidos en distintas partes de los diferentes mundos.

Regardless of which version you played, they were both amazing, with a respectable difficulty that many probably found difficult to complete, including the Super Nintendo version which challenged you to obtain red crystals that were hidden in different parts of the different worlds.

Tarzan

La primera PlayStation 1 y la Nintendo 64 tuvieron el honor de mostrar a muchos gamers este excelente videojuego del universo de Disney, mostrando fielmente los acontecimientos sucedidos en la película, pero desde la perspectiva de un videojuego el cual era divertido, sencillo y muy agradable a nivel visual.

The first PlayStation 1 and the Nintendo 64 had the honor of showing many gamers this excellent video game from the Disney universe, faithfully showing the events that took place in the movie, but from the perspective of a video game which was fun, simple and very pleasant on a visual level.

La desarrolladora Eurocom dejó a un lado los gráficos 2D y se inclinó más por hacer modelos 3D, sin embargo, sigue teniendo la fórmula de la mayoría de juegos de antaño de Disney, un juego de plataformas el cual debes de descubrir distintos objetos ocultos en el mapa, eliminar jefes hasta llegar al final del videojuego.

The developer Eurocom left aside the 2D graphics and was more inclined to make 3D models, however, it still has the formula of most Disney games of yesteryear, a platform game in which you have to discover different objects hidden in the map, eliminate bosses until you reach the end of the video game.

Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue!

Del universo de Toy Story han lanzado muchos videojuegos en múltiples sistemas, pero sin lugar a dudas uno de los más recordados es Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue! El cual implementó muchas mecánicas de escenarios 3D que en su momento eran muy famosas debido a que era algo innovador en las videoconsolas a mediados de los 90.

From the Toy Story universe many video games have been released on multiple systems, but without a doubt one of the most remembered is Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue! Which implemented many 3D scenario mechanics that were once very famous because it was something innovative in video consoles in the mid-90s.

Mucha de su jugabilidad se inspiró en juegos al estilo Mario 64 pero dándole un poco de originalidad hacia el personaje principal que en este caso era Buzz Lightyear. Buenos gráficos, escenarios muy similares al de la película y una excelente dificultad gradual lo convirtieron en un buen juego que muchos gamers de antaño recordarán.

A lot of the gameplay was inspired by Mario 64 style games but gave a bit of originality to the main character which in this case was Buzz Lightyear. Good graphics, scenarios very similar to the one in the movie and an excellent gradual difficulty made it a good game that many gamers of yesteryear will remember.

Kingdom Hearts

Un videojuego querido por muchos y odiados por otros, Kingdom Hearts desde su lanzamiento se convirtió en una sorpresa muy grande para muchas personas ya que uniría de una manera magistral el universo de Disney con los personajes simbólicos de la saga Final Fantasy, creando una de las historias más sorprendentes.

A videogame loved by many and hated by others, Kingdom Hearts since its release became a very big surprise for many people since it would masterfully unite the Disney universe with the symbolic characters of the Final Fantasy saga, creating one of the most surprising stories.

Lo que hace realmente interesante este videojuego es como pasamos por cada una de las famosas películas del universo de Disney, resolviendo el inconveniente y luchando de una manera épica con sus respectivos jefes finales. Si no has tenido la oportunidad de jugar a este videojuego y te gusta todo lo referente a Disney es el momento de que le des un vistazo.

What makes this game really interesting is how we go through each of the famous movies in the Disney universe, solving the problem and fighting in an epic way with their respective bosses.
