Fungi Friday - Frozen Season

Here's a few meager mushrooms for this #fungifriday by @ewkaw and for the fungi lovers group by @qwerrie

It keeps snowing around here ruining my mushroom season. All I found were the usual old mushrooms like this false turkeytail.

I found some aged shelf fungi that are so old they started growing into a conglomerate of perpendicular peculiarity. The big one probably started growing when the tree was still standing, then after it fell the shelf fungi started growing perpendicular to the old one. Now if someone can angle the log at 45 degrees for a few years an interesting pattern should form. Maybe a star shape of some kind...

I hope the snow doesn't kill all the morels this year... hopefully it just delays them a bit.

I woke up this morning looking forward to a forest hunt but nooo it had to snow for the second time this week. Better luck next week hopefully.
