Freechain is now available to the public
I was chatting about crypto (and HIVE specifically) to my neighbour over the festive season, and I mentioned that HIVE even had a movie made about it... although the movie might still be a long way off from being released. So imagine my surprise when I saw a tweet about Freechain on twitter and that it WAS ALREADY RELEASED.
How did I miss that? - The news (on HIVE itself) about the movie had gone quiet over the last couple months/years... but I'm super glad to hear it did not get abandoned.
Freechain is NOT just about HIVE
I thought the main focus would be about the birth of HIVE (and the Fuck You to STEEM/Justin Sun)... I would have enjoyed that... but I'm glad the producers/filmmakers decided to go another route.
The target audience of the film are people not yet introduced to the crypto space and we take a while to explain to them the basic concepts of cryptocurrency and blockchain in the simplest ways possible.
After that, in the second part we use the Hive story as a proof that people actually uphold the values talked about.
That is basically never the case in the rest of this industry and in that way this story is unique.
