# Un par de semanas atrás, la **Universidad Nacional Experimental Simón Rodríguez**, UNESR por sus siglas, realizó en su sede de Barquisimeto una exposición de emprendedores en diversas áreas económicas, para lo cual las autoridades de esa casa de estudios, invitaron a la comunidad local de Hivers, @hiversbqto, para participar en el evento. Los moderadores de la comunidad notificaron por la red social *telegram* sobre la asistencia al evento, e invitaron a todos los miembros a acudir al campus universitario, con el fin de apoyar la labor de la comunidad con su presencia. Ese día, asistí en horas del mediodía a la institución, aprovechando que queda a muy corta distancia de mi hogar, por lo que puedo trasladarme a pie sin necesidad de usar mi carro. Lo primero que me llamó la atención al llegar, es que la gran mayoría de los expositores pertenecían a los sectores de elaboración y expendio de alimentos, así como a la confección textil y de productos de belleza; siendo **Hive** el único expositor correspondiente al área tecnológica, lo cual, desde mi punto de vista, constituye un *plus* para aquellos visitantes deseosos de conocer nuevos modelos de negocio, alejado de la oferta tradicional. > *A couple of weeks ago, the **Simón Rodríguez National Experimental University**, UNESR for its acronym in Spanish, held at its headquarters in Barquisimeto an exhibition of entrepreneurs in various economic areas, for which the authorities of that house of studies, invited the local community of Hivers, @hiversbqto, to participate in the event.* > > *The moderators of the community notified through the social network *telegram* about the attendance to the event, and invited all members to come to the university campus, in order to support the work of the community with their presence.* > > *That day, I went to the institution at noon, taking advantage of the fact that it is a very short distance from my home, so I can move on foot without the need to use my car.* > > *The first thing that caught my attention when I arrived was that most of the exhibitors belonged to the sectors of food processing and retailing, as well as textile manufacturing and beauty products; **Hive** being the only exhibitor corresponding to the technological area, which, from my point of view, is a *plus* for those visitors eager to learn about new business models, away from the traditional offer.*

Luego de curiosear un rato entre los stands de los diversos expositores, finalmente me acerqué hasta el lugar donde estaba ubicado el de **Hive**, que contaba en ese momento con tres compañeros que se encontraban desde la mañana atendiendo las dudas e inquietudes que le formulaban los estudiantes y profesores que habían acudido en busca de información. Luego de saludarlos, me contaron que un grupo numeroso de personas se habían acercado hasta el stand, principalmente por la curiosidad que les generaba, ocasión que aprovechaban para explicar brevemente la tecnología blockchain y las diversas ventajas que ofrece, particularmente entre quienes quieren crear contenido para compartir en sus redes sociales y generar ingresos con ello, en lo que se conoce actualmente como Web3.0. Por otra parte, me informaron que muchos de los jóvenes desconocían los activos criptográficos, más allá de haber escuchado o leído alguna vez sobre **Bitcoin**, aún cuando hoy en día, existen decenas de miles de critomonedas, tokens y proyectos vinculados con este mundo, y que este número se incrementa cada día. Así mismo, luego de darles una breve charla y registrar sus datos personales, se les obsequiaba mercancía y material POP relacionada con **Hive**, como una forma de estimularlos a investigar más sobre la red, y ayudar a quienes desearan crear una cuenta en alguna de las aplicaciones que posee el ecosistema. Mi permanencia en el evento no fue muy prolongada, sin embargo, al momento de retirarme del lugar, otro grupo de compañeros se acercó para acompañar o relevar a quienes se encontraban allí desde tempranas horas de la mañana, difundiendo y promoviendo entre la comunidad universitaria, el uso de la red. > *After browsing for a while among the stands of the various exhibitors, I finally approached the place where **Hive** was located, which at that time had three colleagues who were since the morning attending to the doubts and concerns raised by students and teachers who had come in search of information.* > > *After greeting them, they told me that a large group of people had approached the stand, mainly because they were curious about it, and they took the opportunity to briefly explain blockchain technology and the various advantages it offers, particularly among those who want to create content to share on their social networks and generate income with it, in what is currently known as Web3.0.* > > *On the other hand, I was informed that many of the young people were unaware of crypto assets, beyond having ever heard or read about **Bitcoin**, even though today, there are tens of thousands of cryptocurrencies, tokens and projects linked to this world, and that this number is increasing every day.* > > *Also, after giving them a brief talk and registering their personal data, they were given merchandise and POP material related to **Hive**, as a way to encourage them to investigate more about the network, and help those who wanted to create an account in any of the applications that the ecosystem has.* > > *My stay at the event was not very long, however, when I left the place, another group of colleagues came to accompany or relieve those who were there since early in the morning, disseminating and promoting the use of the network among the university community.*
