This is a surau. For Indonesian citizens, the surau functions as a place of worship. Even the surau can function as a place for public meetings, or places of education, especially those related to religion. In addition, the surau also functions for other public activities.
I took this photo of the surau waiting until dusk. Where the yellow light is turned on. During the day this surau looks so beautiful, but at night the architectural style reveals its own beauty and presents a more classic view. So this surau is different from other surau that I have seen in Aceh, and generally in Indonesia.
