Euro 2020 enters to knock-out phase. In the round of 16, a number of teams continued their mission to become champions in this tournament. One of the interesting matches that was happened is when Netherlands facing the Czech Republic. Netherlands team were predicted to win by a number of observers and football pundits, but the unexpected result of the match, surprised everyone.
Netherlands lost 2-0. The Czech national team's goals were scored by Tomas Holes (68') and Patrick Schick (80'). At the beginning of match, both teams were able to create dangerous chances. But the Czech team attack, was more effective with more chances. The match changed when Matthijs De Ligt received a red card, then the Czech managed to take advantage of the situation, to change the game, until the end of the match.
Despite losing, there was one of Netherlands player who shone during Euro 2020. He is Denzel Dumfries, Currently, he plays for PSV Eindhoven and occupies right fullback position. Despite serving as a right fullback, Dumfries were good at scoring goals and make assists. During his time at PSV, he has made 13 goals and 9 assists. Those such performances that led to him being targeted by big clubs, such as AC Milan, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid. Although he has been linked to the rumours, he will consider a move after Euro 2020 is finished.
