Looks yummy and colorful right?

Well, that's HALO-HALO!

The word "halo" in Tagalog means "mix" in English. So, the word "Halo-halo" means "mixed together.

It is a popular Filipino dessert, some ingredients of it may vary but the common ingredients of it is a mixture of shaved ice, evaporated milk boiled sweetened kidney beans, sweetened chickpeas, sugar palm fruit (kaong), coconut sport (macapuno), jackfruit (langka), jelly (gulaman), tapioca, nata de coco, cheese, pounded crushed young rice (pinipig), purple yam (ube), crème caramel, and ice cream.

It is usually served in a clear bowl or a tall glass.

Just like many people, I love this too!

It is perfect for beating the tropical heat that exists almost year round in the Philippines.

And it is a good snack too!
