Homemade Ice Cream, New Business Venture

The season of flavored jelly is over. Though we still receive some orders but not as often as it was before. Need to think of another food business.

During this quarantine period, my older sister learned how to explore videos. And there she found again some ideas on what to sell- ice cream. I think it’s a saleable product here in our place especially that it feels like summer most of the time. In addition, most of the people have frozen cravings, right? My sister invested for this new means of livelihood that she bought an electric mixer to pursue it. She knows how to generate a profit.

I helped her one time. So here, I’ll be sharing with you the procedure and also the costing. Maybe you could try this commodity and sell also in your area. It requires a small amount of capital because only few ingredients and stuffs are needed. Plus it’s easy to make.

INGREDIENTS:

2 packs of all purpose cream ₱10
200ml or 1 cup condensed milk in ube macapuno flavor ₱23
1 singles of cheese, cut into small bits ₱12
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract

small disposable cups with cover P1 each
electric hand mixer
mixing bowl

Procedure

First, you have to chill the cream overnight.

Then pour it on a mixing bowl. Whip the cream by using electric mixer. If you don’t have an equipment, you can use whisk but it will make your arm muscles sore later on hehe.

Add the condensed milk, salt, and vanilla extract. Mix again.

Continue mixing until the mixture becomes fluffy and smooth.

With this ingredients, we filled 15 cups. My sister is selling it for ₱15. The profit is smaller compared to the flavored jelly but it’s faster to sold out. I am also helping her to expand her market by posting it on social media. I even asked the Blackpink to endorsed it hahaha. Just kidding.

Other flavors that we tried were chocomallows and pandan jelly ice cream.
