As the title says .. i call it that way but in foreign language "pako" is fern and "puso" is the heart of banana.. plus coconut milk. Im not exactly sure if you guys have tried this already .. but to describe the taste.. it's like milky.. soury and that taste you got when you sautee garlic and onion.. something like that.. in our native language the dish is called "ginataan"

The fern was actually given by my papa's cousin , (he always bring something whenever he go here) .. he usually uses banana leaves as its container.. not plastic bag. I manually cut the fern and made it like 3 inches long .. then washed it

Next main ingredient is the heart of banana.. the "puso" .. i think, i did removed maybe 6 or 7 layers of its cover to rrach the core of it .. i mean that part you can actually cook. After peeling it..y brother said that i have to cut it out in a spiral way.. like slowly spinning the puso while you cut it.. after that i squeeze it hardly with salt so its sap can be separated and eliminated hehe.

Then we have the coconut.. my hubby was the one to get it from our backyard ..peeled it.. opened it and grated it.. when he was done grating it.. i squeezed the coconut meat so i can have the milk.

It's very easy to cook.. you just have to sautee garlic and onion.. then add the coconut milk .. salt.. vinegar..magic sarap ( sort of yummy seasoning) , when it's already boling pour in both fern and heart of banana.. let it simmer for 5 minutes and done! Ready to eat!!!

This can be paired with fried foods .. anything fried .. usually with chicken.. fish or tofu.. whichever you love. I did paired it with fish .. super yummy! You should try this..

'Til next time..
