chingri fish curry

Ingredients :

12 King Prawns (de-veined and de-shelled)
1 tsp salt
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp paprika powder
For the gravy/masala
3 tbsp oil
2 tbsp mustard oil (optional, will use vegetable oil)
2 tbsp drawn butter (optional)
1" cinnamon stick
3 cloves
4 peppercorns
1 bay leaf
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 little onion, finely diced
2"ginger, grated
2 cloves garlic, grated
2 bird eye inexperienced chillis, vertically sliced in halves
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp paprika
1 tsp garam masala
1/4 tsp sugar
300ml coconut milk
water

prepare:

Place prawns in an exceedingly bowl. Sprinkle on the salt, turmeric and paprika and blend well.
Heat three tbsp edible fat in an exceedingly non-stick pan. Once hot, add the prawns and cook on medium heat for two minutes. flip the prawns over and cook for an additional two minutes. The prawns ought to be firm and white. take away from the pan.
Heat the mustard oil and drawn butter within the antecedently used pan. Once hot, add the cinnamon stick, cloves, peppercorns, herb and cumin.
When these whole spices begin to splatter, add the onions and 1/4 tsp salt. Cook for 2-3 minutes till semitransparent. currently add the ginger and garlic and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes till golden brown.
Add salt, paprika, turmeric, garam masala sugar and a pair of tbsp water into a bowl and blend along to create a paste. Add this paste to the pan in conjunction with the inexperienced chillis and blend well.
Now add the coconut milk and one cup of water. waken boil and so straight off cut back the warmth and simmer for 3-4 minutes or till it's thick enough to hide the rear of a spoon. Check for salt and alter consequently.
Now add the prawns. enable to simmer for an additional 3-4 minutes and switch off the warmth.
