My Daughter has been blessed with Allergies.
Why Blessed you ask? Well simple...unlike other children stuffed full of processed, sugary foods; She lives a life full of fresh Fruits & Veggies.
She isn't fed with food pouches (FYI who ever invented those is silly! Talk about such a lazy nasty way to feed your children), or surviving off Gold fish, She will ask for a soygurt or raw veggies to snack on.
When she eats candy, its mostly vegan and less sugary, a bit more natural. When She snacks on things like chips or popcorn, the sodium levels are lower and it's just a more natural option.
We stay clear of processed, we try to do organic as much as possible and we stick to a plant based diet. Now we do have moments of fish and unlike me my daughter will eat some meats, but for the most part we eat a Vegetarian/Vegan Diet.
Its given me an amazing opportunity to test out my cooking skills in a new domain. So I've been perfecting my Gluten-Free cooking.
I'm a believer in food being simple and with less additives. Yes I use spices and so on, but I'm odd in the sense that I want to taste my veggies as they are, because I like them as they are.
I'm mindful as well, in the sense that I like to get the most value from my food. I make sure to try and use healthier cooking methods and ingredients.
Now i'm not an extremist by any means so i'm not crazy strict. I am though, very cautious and strict in regards to my daughter's allergies.
The desserts may not always be super healthy, but totally worth it! :)
All to say I just wanted to share some of my creation with you!
