I had some chocolate again last night. It’s really hard not to eat any, especially as I have so much to get through thanks to my brother in law and sister in law both buying me a huge box of assorted chocolate bars and bags! They’re killing me! I have to get them out of the house. I have even given some away, but my cupboard looks like a confectionary store. Well I ended up having the Maltesers Buttons Chocolate Pouch. I didn’t really want them, but I did.

I picked these out because they were something I haven’t had before. I know what a normal Malteser is like but I’ve not had these buttons before. There was actually a lot in the bag and I wish there wasn’t that many because it meant I had to eat them. I did share some with my husband, but even then it was still to much. I did manage to get through them in the end. After the first few buttons, I felt like they tasted a bit weird… even out of date. I checked the packaging and they were well in date. they didn’t go out of date until December. They looked good too, so I couldn’t understand why they tasted so funny. They definitely didn’t taste like what I was expecting. I was expecting that yummy malt taste, but nothing of the sort. They just tasted off.
I wouldn’t choose to have them and I definitely won’t buy them after what they tasted like. Yuck! I took fistfuls of buttons and shoved them in my mouth just to get rid of them. No thank you. I think I’ll stick to the Maltese’s original.
