I didn’t think I’d be writing about more chocolate today, but here I am. Another day another mouthful of chocolate. Today is the Lindt Salted Caramel Truffles. I do like Lindt chocolate, but I find it can be quite sickly in comparison to other luxury chocolate brands. These were bought for me by my husband a couple of weeks ago. I really fancied some chocolate last night, so I ended up ploughing into these.

So I open the box and take put my first chocolate ball. I unwrap the shiny blue wrapper and I went to bite the chocolate ball in half so I could see what was in the middle. Normally it’s easy to bite through the chocolate shell, but I found it quite hard. It wasn’t break your teeth hard, but I struggled to easily get through it. The centre was firmer than expected too. i don’t know if this was because my room is cold. Anyway, the outside shell tasted of the delicious, creamy Lindt chocolate, and the inside was chocolatey too. I couldn’t get much salted caramel flavour, but I think that was because the centre of the chocolate was hard. If it was softer, I think it would have been a lot more luxurious and definitely would bring out the caramel and the salt flavour. They couldn’t have been that bad as I did finish off the whole box, but I didn’t eat all the chocolates on their own. I ate them with some nacho cheese flavoured crisps. I just felt like there needed to be something else for me to enjoy them more.

I’m glad I tried this one after the M&M’s one. The Cadbury chocolate did taste very sweet in comparison to the M&M chocolate. It tasted quite commercial. Too sweet if you ask me and I like sweet things! The mini eggs were an ok inclusion, but I really felt like Cadbury was jumping on M&M’s bandwagon and they didn’t do a very good job. If you want chocolate and mini chocolate pieces, then definitely go for the M&M one.
