[Foodie Diary] Salads, Pasta and Desserts in Los Angeles

Caffé Concerto, a restaurant cafe

When hanging out with buddies, it's a must routine to grab a drink or/and dessert at a cafe after eating food. I can't imagine saying "bye" without consuming some sugars.😂 But this means...there's always that inevitable two stop trip. In LA, this can be a problem because it's almost impossible to street park and most places offer valet parking which costs another 2 dollors out of your pocket.

What do you do in order to avoid that? Here's a solution.
🌟 A RESTAURANT CAFE 🌟

I met up with old high school friend at Caffé Concerto after work so we can make one stop for all. Caffé Concerto is a restaurant cafe in Koreatown, Los Angeles. There are few other restaurant cafes I love to visit which I hope to post later on.

얼마전 친구랑 오랜만에 먹부림하려고 만났어요. 카페 콘체르토라는 레스토랑 카페에 갔는데 엘에이 코리아 타운에는 이런 타입의 카페가 몇군데 있어요. 조금 더 가격대가 있지만 밥먹고 따로 카페 갈 필요가 없어서 좋아요. 디저트로 마침표 안찍고 그냥 헤어지면 너무 아쉽죠. 식후경 당충전이 필수아닌가요? 😂 엘에이에서는 파킹이 거의 발렛이어서 따로 돈내는 것도 아깝고 이곳저곳 이동하는것도 귀찮으니까 레스토랑 카페를 선호해요. 파킹 때문에 우버 자주 타고다니는 저같은 사람이라면 특히나..ㅋㅋㅋ

I assume Cafe Concerto's building was originally a house before the renovation. The first floor displays various desserts next to the kitchen. They also have balcony sitting outside but it was under construction when I visited.

카페 콘체르토는 원래 가정집같은데 카페로 개조한 모습이에요. 일층은 부엌이랑 달콤한 후식이 전시되어있고 발코니 테이블들이 있는데 제가 간날은 공사하고 있어서 이층으로 올라갔어요.

We ordered Guacamole Bruschetta as an appetizer because I LOVE GUACAMOLE.💗
For main dish, we shared Octopus Carpaccio Salad and Concerto Pasta, a spicy cream seafood pasta.

에피타이저로 과카몰리 브루체타(? ㅋㅋㅋ 한국어로 적으니까 이상하네요) 시키고 해물 샐러드와 파스타를 먹었어요. 이름이 화려한 브루체타는 번역 찾아보니 마늘빵 ㅋㅋㅋㅋ 맞아요. 제 페이보릿 콰카몰리가 마늘빵 위에 올려진 핑거푸드에요. 자, 이제 음식사진 나갑니다! :3 냠냠냠

To leave a small feedback on the food...
Guacamole Bruschetta was absolute and the salad was also fresh. I love spicy food and the pasta just had a tint of spiciness that doesn't distract you from enjoying the food. Desserts were definitely eye-candies but it was too creamy for my taste. Also, Earl Grey Latte felt little watered down for me because I usually drink my earl grey latte thick. Overall, I was satisfied with the meal but not so much with desserts and drinks.

제가 정말 좋아하는 과콰몰리는 언제나처럼 맛있었어요. 샐러드랑 해물도 싱싱하고 괜찮았고 파스타도 살짝 매운맛이 섞인 느낌이었는데 니뽕내뽕의 로뽕과 비슷하다고 생각했어요. 사실상 한국인들에겐 맵다고 할수없는 정도 ㅋㅋ 케익 맛은 비주얼만큼 맛있진 않았던게 제가 크리미한 텍스쳐를 별로 좋아하지 않아요. 그리고 얼그레이 라떼같은 경우도 평소 진하게 먹는 저에겐 뭔가 부족하다고 느꼈어요. 하지만 카페 분위기랑 음식 다 생각하면 가끔식 와서 먹는것도 좋을것같아요.
