Potato gratin is a very rich French dish. Previously, the gratin was a side dish of poor peasants and cooked in the oven. For the gratin, they took the old potatoes so that the result was a starchy dish. There are many recipes for gratin, here is one of them.
Ingredients:
potatoes - 5 pieces
butter - 3 tablespoons
bacon - 250 grams
onion - 1 piece
dry white wine - half a glass
cheese - to taste
chili pepper - 1 piece
salt and pepper to taste.
Cooking:
Preheat oven to 190 degrees.
Brush a baking dish with 2 tablespoons of butter.
In the remaining butter, fry the bacon for 10-12 minutes until crispy.

Put the bacon on a paper towel to get rid of excess fat.
In the same pan, in which the bacon was prepared, caramelize the onion, add the wine and boil it to half the volume.
Cut the potatoes into thin slices, send them to the pan, season to taste and cook for 8-10 minutes.
Layer into a form of potatoes, bacon and cheese, sliced. Bake in the oven for 25 minutes.
