Tadaaaaa! We've been planning to eat this Bacon Wrapped Asparagus since last week. šššš And now since we have enough time, we are able to prepare and cook it. HINDI NA DRAWING!! ā
How to Cook Bacon Wrapped Asparagus:
Ingredients:
ā¢ 1 1/2 pounds medium asparagus
ā¢ cooking oil
ā¢ pepper and salt to taste
ā¢ 1pound bacon
ā¢ chopped chives or scallions, optional garnish
Directions:
1.Special equipment: Wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes
2.Preheat your grill to medium-high direct heat.
3.Trim the asparagus of the woody ends. Place on a sheet tray and drizzle with olive oil. Season with freshly ground black pepper and salt.
4.Wrap bacon slices around each asparagus spear. Skewer both ends of asparagus on each side to secure the bacon. Add 3 to 4 asparagus to each skewer.
5.Grill skewers on direct heat until the asparagus is tender and the bacon is crisp about 15 minutes; halfway through the grilling flip the asparagus.
6.Transfer to a platter, remove the skewers and serve.

To be honest, cooking is not my hobby. I even don't know how to cook "lutong bahay" dishes. Nasanay akong magluto ng mga instant food like noodles, pancit canton, processed food, etc. But being with my partner in the same roof, I need to learn how to cook and must be willing to do it to make the most out of it!
There's a first time for everything. This might not be the first time I cook a food to eat, but I am happy to share my experiences in cooking certain food for the first time.
