Jezanne's Recipe #18 : Lemongrass Turmeric Fried Chicken Midwings

LEMONGRASS TURMERIC FRIED CHICKEN MIDWINGS
Ingredients
12 midwings washed and drained
1 Ziplock bag
1 tablespoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon ground pepper
1/2 tablespoon sugar
1 egg (beaten)
2 tablespoon plain flour
1 tablespoon corn flour
3 stalks of lemongrass
1/2 tsp seasalt
Oil for frying

Method
Wash and drain the chicken midwings.

Wash and cut the lemongrass in halves and smash them flat.

Add all the ingredients except oil into the ziplock bag.

Zip up the ziplock bag and start shaking till all the ingredients well combined.

Marinate for at least 4 hours or overnight in the fridge.

After 4 hours or overnight, take out the chicken from fridge and leave it outside for 15 minutes.

Heat up cooking oil in a wok.

Deep fry till golden brown.

Serve it hot with plain white rice. Enjoy!
