When I visited Berchtesgaden for some photography of the capercaillie I took several pictures of the lady's slippers orchids that grew there. We were not lucky with the capercaillie but at least I was able to see and take pictures of the lady's slippers orchids for the first time. They are beautiful and really look like shoes when having a bit imagination.
In the forest there, there was a place where they were all over the floor and a lot of people recognized their beauty and took a deeper look. I was there with Tanja and Stefan and of course we also had to take some pictures of these beautiful plants. I really have to take a look for some orchids in my future photography trips because if you know where there are some orchids even growing here in Austria but still you need to know the places and even find them.
