Thanks to surf fishing addition they posted this well explained illustration.

You can always twist is single, double, triple or quadruple depending on the amount of breaking strength needed, the more you twist the stronger the knot.

I did make a post on this before but this is by far the best illustration i have found to date.

There are so many knot's out there but this should cover most fishing method's.
