Just a little sampling of the compositing I'm doing for The Tear using Red Giant's Supercomp within After Effects. The process is going much faster now that I have a better handle on compositing generally and Red Giant's Supercomp more specifically. I know it's a quick clip, but it represents a lot of progress on my part.
I have to say, I used to hate After Effects with a passion, but now I only hate it a little. Getting over my animosity for the program has been beneficial.
It's my opinion that the results speak for themselves.
As you can see, I had to remove trees and other slender things that were too difficult to composite. To keep the image interesting and add some finer details, I used particle animations to create passing clouds behind the houses.
What do you think?
