Nowadays, more and more people prefer watching film to reading a books. In my opinion, it depends on a book. But I much prefer to watch a story as a film.
To start with, the most important is that books may be too long. You can spend long hours to read a novel up to the end. Time is a valuable resource you should not waste.
Also, films have visual effects that help us to get into the spirit of events and to understand the story much better. Books are lack of visualization.
However, I am sure that reading gives us much more benefits. For example, books expand our vocabulary because it they contains unknown words which may be replaced in a film.
In conclusion, I would like to say that film industry is above a books. And in the nearest future, filmmaking will beat book publishing. So people should read books and after they should watch this story as a film.
