Love for animals

Rohaan, an young Indian boy, was in the verge of discovering love in his own way..both for humans and animals.

It was a Monday morning and his alarm clock was ringing. He got out of his bed, and took a hot shower. As he brushed his teeth, he reflected about his life.

It was just a few months ago that his father had died of a massive heart attack. But that had been just the beginning of Rohaan's problems. His mother was suffering from the last stages of cancer and had begun using opium to numb her pain. Rohaan's mental stress was immense and he found it hard to concentrate on anything other than he mother.

Rohaan was the last child of his father. He had four brothers, all are married with children and are settled in various parts of the world. His mother was a timid woman who loved animals to the core. She watched them, talked to them and pampered them. She had an affection for all the creatures and they seemed to have a unique place with her. She would give anything for them and be very upset when they were ill.

The breakfast was ready and Rohaan had to go and pack his bags. He was running late and after a hurried breakfast he had to go and leave for the train station to board a train for Mumbai. He had an important business meeting which he had to attend and the office was in Mumbai.

He boarded the train and he was now seated on his berth. The train had just started moving and Rohaan was watching the greenery outside the window pass by. The pace at which the greenery was passing by was quite fast and the running speed of the train was quite fast too.

In the last compartment of the train, there was a huge cage in which one can spot a goat along with a few other animals. Rohaan was looking outside the window and the wild animals in the cage reminded him of his mother. He could not control himself and broke out in a tear for the dear animals. He then made a call to his mother to say good bye before he stepped out of his home town. The train had just entered the train station and the doors were about to close. He was watching outside and when they did close he switched off his phone and forgot about everything.

A few hours later the train had reached Mumbai and Rohaan had to catch another train to his destination. He had to travel quite a bit to reach the destination. He was tired but he was looking forward to his meeting. The meeting took quite a long time to conclude and it took quite some time for Rohaan to return to the city.

He returned to his home later that night and had dinner with his mother. The next morning he woke up early to go and buy some fruits for his mother. He had earlier made a vow to himself that he will take his mother for a long drive to the caves, something that his dear mother longed for.

He had also bought a gift for her gift before he had left for the trip to Mumbai. He was ready for the trip. The gift was a photo frame with pictures of him, his siblings, parents, her grandma and her best friend.

He was going shopping with his dad when he was just a child. He had made this souvenir for his mother and he was sure that she would like it.

He was ready to leave. He wished his mother good bye and left his house. He reached the market and bought the fruits. He packed them carefully and left for the cave.

The drive to the cave was beautiful. Rohaan took his mom with him and the trip was going to be an experience for both of them. The sun was high in the sky and it was a beautiful day.
