Idea for a fun little (Creative Coin) writing contest.

I've been going through the old notes for one of my abandoned writing projects, and wan into an idea that was basically the reverse of the story I was working on. An idea with an interesting moral dilemma that I think is the kind of thing that is usually at the core of the best of the writing contests out there.

In this post, that isn't the writing contest yet, I want to reveal a tiny bit of the dilemma and the idea background behind it.

I currently own roughtly about 400,000 CCC, 325,000 of what is delegated to the Hive Book Club community, and will remain so at least untill the end of the year. I'm slowly increasing my CCC stake, not as an investment, but in support of the creative community on HIVE. My current plan is to wait untill my stake reaches 425,000 CCC before running the contest, so I can make a 100,000 CCC delegation till the end of the year the price for this contest.

So what is the idea?

The idea revolves around the concept of a Higgs Bubble. In the story for the contest, a Higgs Bubble isn't destroying our universe, the Higgs Bubble is our universe. And our universe is much smaller and younger than we thought it was. No Big Bang, all of the energy we thought we observed from the Big Bang turns out to be from the destruction of our parent universe. We receive a message, a message that can't exist, because it seems to come from before the Big Bang. When the message gets deciphered, we discover our own, almost barren universe is the inside of a Higgs Bubble, and is destroying a higher-vacuum-energy universe that is teeming with life. We also learn that the speed of light inside of the Higgs Bubble is faster than in the parent universe, and that if we follow instructions sent to us by the aliens, we can destroy the Higgs Bubble from the inside, making use of the fact that our speed of light is faster.

There is a catch. While destroying the Higgs Bubble from the inside, we will not only safe the parent universe from destruction by destroying the Higgs Bubble (in a few million years), and all of the live that universe is teaming with, we would also, instantly be making life on Earth, and over time, life in a small collection of galaxies, go extinct.

Will we safe the parent universe with billions times billions more life forms than exist in the few galaxies inside the Higgs Bubble, or will we choose the survival of our own, relatively new, relatively small, and quite barren universe inside the Higgs bubble?

So what do you guys think? Would this be a cool writing contest to run? Would a 100,000 CCC delegation till the end of the year be a cool prize to win? Could I find a way to open up the contest to people not on HIVE? Or should I keep this a HIVE only Creative Coin contest?
