Streams
Each human being possesses a "stream," which is the structure of all the choices they made and when. if we are to ignore, in this moment, how every human's stream affects another we can recognize that if one choice was different then the path of the stream is different. We bare witness to but one stream of an individual, and all subsequent streams are meant for a separate reality. However, the system is flawed in that a stream can lead back together, perhaps instantly or perhaps with time. This is a convergence of a stream, it exists so as to save the system memory and storage. If we continued on with no constraints to the Streams, then there would be no memory to work with in any single reality. Even though the apparatus of the System is forever expanding, we still will hit roadblocks when too many people exist, making too many choices and creating too many realities. So, as such, choices that will affect very little don't get two separate branches save for the briefest of moments, and one is forced to collapse (that one being up to chance). When a branch is collapsed, however, all the information contained within can't cease to be immediately. Fragments of the new available memory will be used for the following processes, however there are fragments of memory and storage which are forced to exist inaccessible to those within the system save for during special circumstances. these inaccessible bits of memory are more likely to form during a choice made by a mass of people at once.
