I've got your back my friend - amazing life lessons learnt from animals & nature.

I am no scientist but in my humble opinion there can be no greater personal gain and inner happiness achieved on so many levels (not monetary, ego etc) than having compassion, wanting to see & help others grow, helping others when needed & you can (unconditionally), or "simply" just being there for true friends and family that count.

I have never been able to get my head around so many peoples ongoing actions of putting others down/ taking from them on various levels or taking the beautiful spirit & life out of them for some weird thought that they will gain from it & look better in the public eye.......screwed up in my opinion.

Animals & nature show us so much of this beautiful way of being.

Below is my entry photo for the #smap contest round 78.

With birds alone their must be hundreds of examples....never mind other animals and nature itself in terms of plants benefiting each other in harmony and joint growth.

In the photo above is a group of Red billed Oxpeckers on the neck of a giraffe in Kruger National Park. Here the birds benefit by getting food in the form of ticks while the giraffe is getting parasites removed from it's body in places it could never reach.

Plover birds remove meat leftovers stuck between an open mouthed crocodiles' teeth. Miraculously the crocodile doesn't eat the bird because it in turn is getting a free dental checkup to help preserve it's needed teeth. Etc etc etc with boundless examples and all benefitting.

Animals also show us the beauty & powerful love of a mother with her child as well as how herds & families will band together to selflessly help protect a child of the "tribe" when danger threatens. (Elephants are beautiful to watch in this type of instance and it is mindblowing to watch how aware & careful they are of not hurting the little ones that walk or run under themselves.)

I've always got your back my brother, sister / friend.

We as humans can learn so much from animals & nature......just be "lekka" in life. ("nice/decent"......translated from Afrikaans, a South African language.)
