Bright early sun.

A pair of sugarbirds were hunting insects early in the morning sun, as the sunlight highlighted the flying insects.

The bright sun did not stop me from waiting for the Cape Sugarbird to fly.

I have my ways to avoid the sun spoiling my shots, but it's not always easy to find a shady spot to shield my camera from the sun.
In this case I was lucky and I knew that the shots would be silhouettes, but thankfully the pictures turned out well, even if they were taken at a distance.
Come and look.

He leapt in all directions from the tree tip that he was sitting on.

His formal name is a "Cape Sugarbird" (Promerops cafer).

Then it was the wife's turn to hunt insects!

I got her later and a bit clearer, as she was hunting insects on an island on a dam.

There were tall reeds on the island that had a trove of insects flying about in the reeds.

Here you can see the island in the middle of the dam.

Finally she was done and she left screaming for her husband to let her know his whereabouts.

We have a similar situation in the complex where we live. A lady is very protective over her elderly husband, as his health is not too good and often we hear her calling to find out where he is. But at times she will hide away and he would search all over for her hahaha.
Just goes to show, as in nature, just so in life.
We are all protective over our partners and families.

And That's All Friends!
