MOSCOW SCHOOLS ARE CPS INFORMERS NOW

A new way for CPS to get access to families and kids. Now school will provide great possibilities for it.

Moscow authorities intend to introduce an automated system "Classroom Assistant", which will help teachers to keep track of children and look for children from "bad" families.

The Commission for the Development of Civil Society and Public Control organized a meeting on the topic "Children in Difficult Life Situations and School Opportunities". The event was attended by representatives of the police, deputies of the Moscow City Duma, officials of the Department of Labor and Social Protection of the Population and the Department of Education and Science of the capital.

The result of this event was the adoption of a "great" decision to expand the capacity of schools.

The Ombudsman for Children's Rights in Moscow Olga Yaroslavskaya said that now it is necessary to strengthen efforts to identify "bad" families. Social and medical workers are not very effective in looking after children (during 6 months of the year they identified 1,550 "dysfunctional families"), since they do not constantly communicate with children. Therefore, for these functions, it is necessary to involve class teachers.

So for now school isn't just a place for giving educational function. It's a source of denounciations and negative informing about all life situations. I must admit, Russian level of education isn't the best now, and it's much worse than it was in the USSR times. Then teachers were just teachers. Now they do too much that isn't connected with teaching at all. And now one more function - CPS informers.

All juvenile services interested in immediately intervening in the family will receive information about the child and his parents.

It should be mentioned that this system will be used to spy on ordinary families, not just "bad ones" because these very dangerous families aren't in the lists of CPS, they're invisible for them, they aren't marked anyhow, so now ALL families are under control.

Chasing for a child will give opportunity to collect much info about him: his academic performance, hobbies, health status, family income, the number of children in the family.

As always, little is known about the criteria by which families will be defined as “dysfunctional” ones. Poor families are likely to be hit first. And also those in which parents refuse to transfer children to distant education.

Btw, it's one more reason for CPS to put the mark "bad" for a family - parents are against distant education because of the virus. It's the protest against the system - "gold" for CPS.
