One of the lesser known side projects of Tool and A Perfect Circle singer Maynard James Keenan, Puscifer is a weird and engaging listening experience, featuring deep bassy vocals, minimalistic yet advanced soundscapes, a hefty dose of rock influences paired with modern synth-work, solid steady rhythms and profound immersion.

The album is diverse in its tracks, but one of them has always stood out to me for its memorability and subject matter expressed, as well as for its unique and innovative style.

Where some may call the song a new age algamation of "pseudoscientific notions" to me it could be described as the lyrical format of what people on the psychedelic scene embark on with every festival circuit - bringing human existence back to a more communal and spiritual way of being that is thoroughly connected to the Earth, their inner wisdom and the rich simple basics of life in an era where we are slowly remembering who we are and what our connection to the cosmos is. And that the old empire is outdated and can be let go of.

The song speaks volumes in word and tone and in case you have never heard about Puscifer, Indigo Children is one of the more captivating tracks that underscores Keenan's diverse ways of approaching music in an ever so varying manner with aspiring connotations for those who have lived such a rooted existence like the generation of people he describes in the track.

If you have ever visited rainbow gathering,a spiritual community in nature or anything to that effect, you will feel right at home immediately... despite the odd album title and artwork^^
