Welcome to episode 10 of OurDecentralizedFuture!

This series has been super fun to make and we're both really enjoying exploring all the different decentralized projects happening in the world. Centralization causes a lot of problems on our planet, and while we have so much work to do, we believe that decentralization often leads to far more fair systems.

The Grant for the Web is a means to help fund projects that are far more fair by nature. The Grant for the Web is run by the Interledger Foundation which has built a payments technology that can be used for a whole range of things, but has mostly, so far, been used to pay content creators for the time that subscribers spend on their content.

The payments instantly arrive in the creator's wallet... meaning that creators have no fear of being deplatformed and their platform of choice withholding all their funds.

In Episode 10, I interview Chris who has been a huge driving force in supporting projects that want to use the Interledger Protocol.

Chris Lawrence is the Senior Program Manager at Interledger Foundation for Grant for the Web; a fund to boost open, fair, and inclusive standards and innovation in Web Monetization.
