Today's run was without mincing words, a very good run. I find the stress of the week usually affects my performance either as a result of the workload or not getting enough sleep (also work related).
I tried to make extra effort to be sure I was well rested on Friday and deliberately slept in early. The result was a very solid run in my opinion with a relaxed feeling all through the race.
The distance was a bit shorter than I had originally intended, but in hindsight, cutting back the miles seems like a good idea.
As someone recently told me, 'Respect the Distance'.
