The month of October has been set aside by World Health Organization (WHO) for Breast Cancer Awareness. And in my little research, I discovered that this scourge can be best tackled at the preliminary stage before its get to the advanced stage.
This is why in my own humble way, i am imploring every woman even men too (because there's a possibility of men developing breast cancer, which they always ignore until its get overboard), to do a self-examination for early signs like:
- Swelling of some part or all of the breast even no lump is felt.
- Pain on the nipple or breast.
- Nipple retracting or turning inward.
- Skin irritation or peeling of the skin around the breast.
- Discharge from the nipple other than breast milk.
- Redness, thickening of the nipple.
If you noticed any of these signs locate the nearest hospital.
I also want to encourage those battling this deadly disease to keep fighting and hang on, BECAUSE YOU ALL ARE WINNER.
