This is a question that has come up to me a couple of times before by people who were just getting started, Do I have to have a computer? The answer is, yes. One thing thats absolutely essential in the Internet marketing business is a computer. Your own computer, or at the very minimum a computer that you can get large amounts of hours in front of is key to this business.
Don’t Believe The Hype
Now I have seen some online ads, as well as an entire infomercial advertise that you can make tens of thousands of dollars a week and you don’t even need a computer! Apparently you just buy some product from the TV then sit around in front of that same TV while Internet millions fall into your lap. Don’t believe it.
It Doesn’t Have To Be Powerful
The computer you use for your Internet Business doesn’t have to be a superpowered 3 thousand dollar workstation. Most of the time in your business will be spent on the web, doing email, or basic word processing and possibly a little graphics editing. If you fixed up a computer from 5 years ago and added some cheap ram to it, you could get by. Is this ideal? No, but you can make do with what you have. Don’t let an old computer keep you from starting out. Besides, once you are rolling in the cash you can go buy a screaming computer with a huge monitor and use it as a business expense!
Computers Are Cheap
Computer are very cheap nowadays. You can get a brand new fully functioning laptop or desktop machine for under 400 dollars. Around the holidays the deals are extreme and you can get a wide variety of computers for 500 dollars or less. It will certainly not be the most powerful thing in the world, but you can make do. Although if you have the money, I would suggest something a little more in the 900 dollar range to start out. Save the 3 thousand dollar computer for when you make it big.
Borrow One If You Have To
Still can’t afford one? Can you at least borrow one? Do you have a family member with a computer? Can you use it for a few hours at night possibly? Is there a public library close by where you can use a computer for a few hours a day? Get a gmail account for free and start there if you have to! Where there’s a will there’s a way, make it happen!
