Hey, fellow users of Steem & eSteem! Here is our freshly built Christmas special => Surfer 2.0.3 - Steem Desktop client with many handy features. This time we've added long waited and probably most frequently requested feature - spellchecker, unclaimed rewards notification badge on top of wallet icon, witnesses page with detailed stats and finally you can transfer funds (STEEM/SBD) from your wallet using Surfer and so many more small tweaks and features.

Spellchecker

Whenever you see red underlined word you can right-click on it to change it. This is only a start so do not expect much out of it. Basic functionality is there but still it needs some tweaks. For now spellchecker works only with English language but we are planning to improve it.

Witnesses Page

You can open the page by typing witnesses in eSteem Surfer navigation input bar which is very top of app so you should see esteem://witnesses hit enter and Witnesses page will open up. Alternatively you can go to your profile and just find the Witnesses link - or click this link.

This voting choice is just a sample

You will see page with Top 50 witnesses and their stats. You can follow their URLs to read about each person behind the witness and make your choice. It is good to vote for those who you think really deserves that. Some people are sacrificing their time and money to make Steem better place.

Unclaimed rewards notification badge

Small but really handy addition is that tiny red dot on top of your wallet icon. It appears every time your unclaimed rewards arrived so you don't have to check your wallet too often.

Transfers

Just open your wallet and you will see small triangles near your funds - this is a menu where you can manipulate your STEEM/SBD tokens. Transfer to another account, to savings, withdraw, power up, etc.

What is eSteem Surfer 2

It's a desktop client you can use on Windows, Mac or Linux to surf your steem friends feed/trending/hot/etc pages, upvote, comment, read replies, do all the other major Steem functionality in your daily social surfing as well as wallet actions and of course few extras: search, discover different tags, bookmarks, drafts, favorite authors, scheduling posts, etc.
