EMPOWER vs. STEEMIT (a discussion)

I've been on Empowr since February and, apparently, I made $4,737.59 and rising.

First I wanna say that I'm not promoting empowr.com, at all. I am simply sharing my experiences with the platform and why I've decided to share this with Steemit. Most of us like to make money for nothing, but this seem too good to be true. It just may be so.

This is me on Empowr. Notice I made a @steemit shout-out!

Used an old pic from another lifetime ago. I like it. ;)

If you, the reader, have no idea what Empowr is, have a look at their front page and they will give you the low down.

If you're lazy, like I am, I provided the mobile app intro slider, for you viewing pleasure.

Whew! I only became an active member of empowr for two months straight. I was liking, posting, bought and listed stuff. All within the financial means of the Empowr platform. So far, so good, right?

So, I click on my pretty amazing balance of $4,737.59 on the bar and was shown this...

Holy shit, right! Where did all this cash come from? Why am I getting so much when I haven't done a single thing for months?

How Empowr works, to my knowledge, as a community that share their wealth among each other by selling good and services. An online democracy, where people gather and share ideas, cute kitty images, witty quotes and recipes. I'm not gonna go through the details, but they seem to be growing in numbers and mostly in South America, as it seems.

There is this 90 day 'Maturity' period for your profits accumulated. Once the 90 days have lapse, you are entitled to your cash earnings. However, there's a catch.

According to Empowr, I had to activate my account with a credit card or paypal for me to cash anything out, including the $9.69 Early Cash Out.

Well, I went through a few hurdles to activate my account, due to privacy I won't show the rest, but the gist is; you need to have a place for your money. Seems legit. lol

Then they start mentioning fee's I owe. Well, don't I have $4.7k in the balance, fully matured and ready to go? Nope. It was in the tune of $600+ that they wanted me to pay, before I get to withdraw my matured profits.

At that point, I turned my back on it. Why have it bother me? I made a whole bunch of cash for pretty much being popular. I really don't feel comfortable giving my money away, when the initial promise was payed to participate.

Finally, I like steemit because it has inspired me to share more of my passions and not copies of a copy. LOL! Mainly because I feel like I'm actually doing something ! There is a payment system but it's not sugar coated. You gotta earn your pay here. :)

Be all that as it may, I will put this to rest.

This time!

||UPDATE|| Sept. 7th 2016 - I made a shit ton. They still ask for payment. Basically they have my money hostage until their demands have been met. lol JK.

and here is the suggested video they recommended me to watch:

I came across this link: http://barenakedscam.com/empowr
It's a site by this guy named Jack Cao that runs this Affiliate Marketing operation (on a very unsecured server, FYI) that has an article about this very thing!

It's the AD PLATFORM FEE! The video above was not available to me until I've discovered it. Apparently, I didn't pay my AD Platform fee! This info would've been very useful to me, as I would rather pay $3-$5 at a time, get 50% cash back, and cash out. This blows. :P
