Please review my business

As we embark on reopening the economy, it takes a bit more than an optimistic smile.
The economic engine needs time to gain momentum. Just like a locomotive.

The economic hardship, that some in the community have endured, and still endure, is real. The have's, and the have nots, relate more to whether you have a job these days.

Service industry friends have had to change their restart date many times since the lockdown. It was frustrating for them, particularly, as some of them did not meet the criteria to receive government allowances.

However, the demand for services is still in the early stages. The fact that people must wear masks deters many from venturing out.

Two friends have asked me to do a review on their business. The funny thing is that they must have asked their entire friends list, as there is a huge spike in reviews, which casts doubt on review validity during this period.

They are frustrated. There is immense competition with some competitors creating fake negative reviews of my friend's businesses. I guess it is the same frustration that Disney felt when they couldn't buy good reviews on Rotten Tomatoes for their Star Wars debacles.

In an age of digital propaganda and manipulation, can we rely anymore on reviews?
You would hope that there would be a majority of legitimate reviews to overwhelm the fake ones. But with technology, one press of a button, (cough cough Dominion) and you can sway customers with some smart scripting.

It's an ethical dilemma. Fortunately, I had already done a review on one of their businesses a couple of years ago. The second, I applied a review, as I really should have done one for them last year. So, in substance, I have used their services.

The tensions build as the fallout of economic hardship starts to tally up. Governments are justifying their currency printing due to the "low interest environment". But it begs the question, with all of the taxes that are being paid, at what point do they start to take account of monies. If they can print money to infinity then why even charge taxes? The application of Magic Money Tree (Modern Monetary Theory) gets a chance to flex it wax paper wings - careful nearing the sun there my bird.

If a nation doesn't increase true wealth then it will drown. Inflation erodes the wealth of the nation. Maybe it is a means to an end. To fulfill the conspiracy of a great reset, agenda 31, a true new world order.

But before the conspiracies, the non-conspiratorial are struggling to get back to normal. Next year we see what happens to all the mortgagees when they need to pay the piper. Of course, there will be winners and losers.

I see a pattern of behaviour. If providing a 5-star review can help get that locomotive moving, then that's a pretty good situation.
