Top 10 Countries (OECD) with the fastest growing income inequality

Which countries are experiencing widening income inequality? This post contains a link to a video that looks at changes in income inequality for OECD countries (after taxation). This video presents the top 10 countries with widening income inequality and the top 10 countries with decreasing income inequality.

The video establishes an interesting trend where countries with the least income inequality are experiencing widening income inequality, whereas countries with wider income inequality are actually closing the gap.

The video also explains the Gini Coefficient. The Gini Coefficient is used to determine the extent of income inequality. This is done by comparing actual cumulative income (highest to lowest) with an even distribution of income

The data for this video has been sourced from Wikipedia and OECD Statistics.
