During my recent battle in Splinterlands, I had great success with my team dealing significant range damage to the enemy team using General Sloan as my summoner.

The combination of Xenith Monk's Heal and Venari Crystalsmith's Tank Heal allowed my entire team to stay safe while they dealt with the opponents attacks.

However, due to the Rise of the Commons rule, which only allows the use of Common and Rare monsters, I had a hard time winning. Good thing that I have a good selection with my Life Splinters and Neutral monsters giving me an edge in this battle.

Level 8 Rare summoners allow the use of:
Level 4 Legendary monsters;
Level 6 Epic monsters;

+1 Range. [Stat Modifier] [Positive Status] Friendly monsters has their Range damage increased by 1.

Increased damage is really strong especially when you spam monsters with those damage types. Since I used 3 monsters with Range damage and one of those has Double Strike ability, then my overall damage increased by 4.

Venari Crystalsmith are the type of support that can still do a lot of damage. At the highest level, she can do 3 points of damage and up to 4 if increased by General Sloan's ability.

Abilities

At level 1, Tank Heal is unlocked. [Support] At the start of this monster's turn, restore the friendly monster's health, that is on 1st position, by 1/3 of its max health.

Tank Heal is one of the best abilities in the game. It keeps your main tank alive and makes sure that your back row can keep attacking from the safe distance.

At level 6, Dispel is unlocked. [Support] Removes all [Positive Status] from the opponent when hit by this monster's attack.

Dispel is very conditional. Right now, it's not as useful but there were times where it's very strong since almost every lineup has Martyr ability that increases the monster's stats.

General Sloan: Since I am using a full range damage team, using General Sloan as the summoner gives me a huge damage boost for this game.

1. Xenith Monk: My main tank for this battle. His Heal and Void ability can take care of a lot of commons and rares damages making him fit for the role.
2. Supply Runner: I added him to increase my team's health hopefully increasing the effect of Heal and Tank Heal as well.
3. Pelacor Arbalest: General Sloan's increased range damage is very effective giving him the ability to increase the damage per attack increasing it twice than others.
4. Venari Crystalsmith: Since there is also Even Stevens in the rule of combat, Uraeus, which is a 3 mana cost Sneak monster will be unsusable. This reduces the possible for Sneak monsters making the last position the safest to put my Tank Heal.

Yes. With my team doing huge damage and with a combination of Xenith Monk's Heal and Venari Crystalsmith's Tank Heal, it kept my whole team safe as they deal damage to the enemy team.

I am not sure what change I would do but Supply Runner costs 6 mana which can be changed to two monsters with costs 2 and 4. More monsters would be better in this game for more damage.

General Sloan and Venari Crystalsmith in Rise of the Commons Rules of Combat

? 𝑾𝒉𝒚 𝒐𝒓 𝑾𝒉𝒚 𝒏𝒐𝒕?

. Since this rule of combat prevents the use of legendary monsters, I always have a hard time when dealing with this. The wins, even though it was a huge win, I consider it just lucky. If my opponent used even one Sneak monster, my build collapses and they would win. That's how volatile my team composition is for this battle.
