Windham Presbyterian Church in Windham NH
Were originally pioneers in Windham and Londonderry, NH. They were of Scotch and Scotch-Irish descent, from Ireland. They brought their religious roots with them to this country and established them at this location. Their faith is Presbyterians.
In 1742 the general assembly of the province of Windham approved a new parish in Windham. In 1753 the first church was built on Copp’s Hill, now Cemetery on the Hill, but because parishioners wanted the church nearer the center of town, a new meeting house was built in 1798 -- the present town hall.
