What is the most radical action we can take to change the world, right now?
OCCUPY OUR BLEEDING.
The state of our collective menses is profoundly disturbing: I don’t want to focus on that here, but it is vital that we understand the deeply unhealthy context in which we find ourselves as menstruating humans.
I’m speaking in this podcast around what it actually IS to embrace and liberate our bleeding, our cycle – to have it as a sacred and even a mystical aspect of our healing journey, our source of power, our finding our place in the world and good relationship with all things.
Menstruation is a gift: it is the greatest gift to humanity and to the planet – but even if we’ve gotten away from the idea of ‘curse’ or ‘dirty’, we are still very far from understanding how our bleeding is the source of our well-being, our potent fertility and life-fullness, our harmonious collective vitality and peace.
Until we realise it as such, we’re committed into a horrific bondage with the pain-intervention-violence which is at the core of the medicalisation (and profiting) of our natural body-mind-spirit.
We live in a time where we’re being blessedly enriched by global information networks, which are letting huge swathes of work around female well-being flourish – with vibrant, stabilised bleeding at the centre of it all.
Please look into this further; please share information and inspiration about how we can free women from the pain and suffering that has been accepted by western medicine as ‘normal’, and into the self-realising, empowered, embodied wisdom cycles that ARE her birth-right.
